Die Verantwortung
ibex fairstay Gold. Swisstainable III. 6,800 trees. One cow named Wal Lisa. The receipts, not the rhetoric.
Unsere Nachhaltigkeits-Reise
Tourism in a high alpine, sensitive place carries a responsibility. Saas-Fee, with its glacier world, feels the change in the climate before most. We hold that everyone can contribute to protecting this landscape — and we prefer to show the receipts rather than the rhetoric.
Grow My Tree
Every guest who celebrates a birthday with us receives a tree — planted in their name, with a personalised certificate handed over on site or sent by post. The seedlings are raised by smallholders and villagers in Tanzania, who are supported by the project; the trees absorb CO₂, release oxygen, give animals a habitat and keep the soil healthy. Their growth is monitored long-term.
We chose GrowMyTree because they are an entirely transparent partner — and because they do not stop at trees, but carry social projects alongside them.

Die Herkunft
Her name is Wal Lisa von Hof and she spends her summer on the Triftalp, supplying the house with fresh alpine cheese. The kitchen team fishes trout from Lake Kreuzboden. The herbs grow in the garden in front of the hotel — and the birthday wishes we write our guests are printed on seed cards, so a flower grows when they plant them at home.
